Office Christmas Party Trivia
Here's a quiz you can run at a work holiday party: 40 questions in 5 rounds of 8. It sticks to movies, music, food and traditions, and stays on the easy-to-medium side so the new hire and the person who has been there twenty years have the same shot.
It leaves out the Nativity and anything about religion, politics or drinking, so it suits a mixed workplace.
40 questions. Tap Show answer under any question to check it.
How to run it at work
- Teams of four to six. Mix departments if you can. It gets people talking who usually don't.
- One screen, one host. Open host mode (it starts with this page's categories picked) on a laptop connected to the conference room TV, or share your screen on a video call. You reveal each answer and tap which teams got it, and the scoreboard keeps itself.
- Set the clock to 20 seconds. That's long enough to argue and short enough to keep things moving.
- Count on about two minutes a question, so all five rounds run roughly 80 minutes with a break for refills. Drop a round if you have less time.
- Have a prize, even a silly one. A plastic trophy or first pick in the gift exchange gets people trying.
- Remote team? Share your screen and have each team send its answer letter in a private chat before you reveal.
- No screens at all? Print this page. The answer key prints on its own sheet.
The full hosting guide covers keyboard shortcuts, scoring and handling ties.
